Freakishly nervous.
OMGness.
I can’t believe Letran LOST to Baste yesterday. That is a major upset.
Thanks to San Sebastian, Letran and San Beda are tied for 2nd. And we are the sole no. 1 for now. Whoopee!!
It just shows how terrible my psychic powers are. Let’s see… what did I predict that didn’t come true??
- We would lose to Letran. And we won.
- Letran will win over San Sebastian. And they lost!
And now I’m more nervous about the JRU-SBC game tomorrow. OMG. I don’t want to predict anything now, but I hope SBC will lose. (Of course!)
Oh God. We are San Sebastian’s next opponents. I’m pretty nervous about that too. Coz they beat Letran! Waaaaaaa…
Well, that’s it. Gosh is this becoming an NCAA blog? Lol. But I’m becoming soooo hooked to the games that I can’t resist commenting on them in this humble blog.
Crazy UP entry and others
Read this.
UP was my dream school pa naman. Lol. Thought it was noble and everything. But the way UP students commented and flamed each other gave me a bad impression. It’s kinda ridiculous how they’ve made such a big deal on three words: Iskolar ng Bayan. Gosh. It’s just three words.
I also can’t believe that people would take UP centennial as an opportunity to blast the supposedly premier school in our country, and one that bears our country’s name, no less.
But whatever. I don’t like debates unless it’s with my BF. I especially don’t like debates with people I don’t know. And I thought blogging was supposed to be fun, unless you want to divulge corporate secrets.
~~
I’m not the editor-in-chief.
Gosh. I hate it when I expect something and it doesn’t happen. I hate it even more when everyone expects something to happen to me and it doesn’t happen.
But I’m relieved, in a way. I’m kinda freaking out from all those activists in our school. And from the outright responsibility that the position entails.
Besides, our new EIC (Ate Beth) is pretty wise/smart/intelligent. I trust her.
BTW I’m the associate editor.
grades
Just gonna give the percentage equivalent.
Management – 95
Law – 95
Computer – 95
Economics – 95
Financial Accounting 2 – 95
Financial Accounting 1 – 91
Finance – 90
Kinda monotonous.
runescape
On a brighter note… Happy anniversary to me!! I’ve been playing Runescape from a year now. I’ve been transformed from total noob to noob-killer. I’ve mastered the art, baby.
My combat level is now 74. What will it be another year from now?
mega wooooow
(mas maganda pala pag PNG ang pic)
The nearly impossible happened! JRU beat the nearly-undefeatable Letran 76-72. Oh my gosh. I’m practically speechless! We beat them!! Woot woot!
And for the first time, we’re number 1!!! OMG. OMG. Baka umabot pa kami sa finals nito wooot woot! And take note. Even if Letran wins their next battle, we’ll still be number 1. Though we’ll be tied.
Hope we get to beat San Beda in our next fight, so our spot will be secured! (Though tied) Yup, that’s the only problem. If we lost to SBC and Letran wins over San Sebastian, we’ll be back to number two. But with an 8-0 streak (meaning, we won the last 8 games we played), it seems impossible to lose diba?? Ohh I hate being too optimistic but I’m so excited for our team!
On a side note, I can’t believe how delicate those placings are. Nakakatense talaga.
pushed to the limit?????
Well! The past 2 days were really tiring. But what I did today is just an add-on to the heavyweight event yesterday which was our quiz bee + practice for induction of officers. I’m not in the quiz bee, but I helped.
The name of the quiz bee(s) is officially the National Federation of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – National Capital Region Council: NCR Cup Levels II (Theory of Accounts) and III (Business Law and Taxation), hosted by the JPIA in our school. Long name. XD
Being a good officer, I was there. My task was to give a copy of the questions to the contestants onstage, so I got to directly interact with them. And with my huge Filipiniana dress with its poofy skirt and 33 contestants seated in an area the size of 2 buses, it was hard. I even managed to disconnect the projector from the electrical socket. (So efficient hahaha) And in the process, I had a quiz in Law class. But my prof (the CPA-Lawyer) let me out of class early since he was an Accounting faculty and a judge at the Level III quiz bee.
The winner of the Level II quiz bee was a very nice girl from Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila. She kept on smiling at me as I handed over her copy of the question, unlike that uber-awful dude from UP-Diliman who just had to “say” he was bored by yawning during the intermission number.
And for the Level III, it was this guy from Far Eastern University – Manila. Well, the only part I remembered was that our contestant performed so badly. Kawawa naman. By that time, I was so tired walking around the in my poofy pink dress and white slippers that belonged to our President Joy.
We wrapped up at 4pm, so I went to my BF who was playing DOTA at that moment in a net cafe near school. I rested there while playing with his hamster, but I was getting kinda worried about the hamster (Peanut) so I kept on telling Pat to go home.
Then the rain came.
We couldn’t get out of the cafe by the time Pat stopped playing at 7pm. I was getting more agitated by the second because Peanut seemed really hungry. =( So when the rain lulled, we rushed to school and sat on a bench there while waiting for the rain to stop.
By 8:30, our practice for the mass induction of officers was about to start. So he thought he should go home. I was worried, but he wrapped Peanut in a towel and went in the rain. But it seemed they reached their house safely.
9:30 – I was still there in the auditorium in our school, getting pretty worried about curfew while Madame Karen (the new president of the student council) was facilitating the practice. Since we were so magulo daw, a practice was set for Tuesday, but not without at TON of protests from our org since we planned our team building on that day.
So after the practice adjourned, we JPIANs got together outside the audi and decided to postpone our Team Building. It wasn’t just the practice, it was the fact that it was last-minute: we haven’t planned the details yet and we wee supposed to do it on Tuesday? So there.
We got out of school at 10:15 maybe? The rain already stopped by that time. But the awful part was yet to come. There were no vacant jeeps!! The ones that did pass us by were jam-packed with an average of 4 men hanging at the back of the bus.
Given the extreme circumstances, I decided to do something extreme. Six other people and I walked to Crossing/Shaw Blvd stati0n of MRT from our school. There were 6 other people with me but I knew precisely 2 of them, who were officers at JPIA too (Ate Cecile and Lemuel). It was fun but uber-tiring, my jeans got wet, and we must have looked ridiculous but I did get food and water for free. =]
At around 11:45, we reached Crossing. I boarded a bus with the 4 people who I didn’t know but who Ate Cecile knew so what the heck. I got down at Boni and walked the rest of the way home. And gosh, there were no jeeps at the road. So I guess we did the right thing.
After eating dinner 4 hours late, I fell straight asleep.
today
Woke up at 8:30 am for our pictorial/practice for our fashion show in Management class. We were supposed to meet at 10 am but I got to school at 10:15. Nakakahiya. I was second to the last to arrive and there were 13 of us.
Ayon. Not gonna say much about it, but the pictorial went pretty well. There was some friction during the practice though, but I think we’ll do pretty well on Wednesday. And I’m impressed with my friend Mydie, who pulled a lot of strings in the Dean’s office and with the school’s photographer just to make the practice possible.
Pics! Pics! Pics! (courtesy of Marisol who uploaded the pics so quickly)
woooow
As of today. OMG We’re a guaranteed second.
Unless San Beda wins their next game against Perpetual Help, and we lose our next game against Letran.
I think both have a very big chance of happening. But it will still result in a tie. Just shows we just might end up second. Muhahahahaha.
Btw I think San Sebastian is recovering in a BIG way.
So tense!
I don’t know why, but I feel so much out of it today!
I know it can’t be about my notebook since that has been returned to me already, and I have no major assignments looming. Well, there is that fashion show in Management, where we’re been squabbling with our awful classmates in terms of EVERYTHING. We’re fighting about when we should do it (coz there are 2 options: 15 and 20), our pictures for the show, everything.
Maybe it’s that one. Well I like that project, but it just sucks SO bad because of the people I’m working with, and the people we’re NOT working with. I would have enjoyed that class 100% if my classmates were the ones we know are Accounting students. Sigh.
Our grades came out today. I can’t get mine yet, because the alumni office has to get it first. I’ll post the grades here when I get it. Although I have a vague idea of what my grades are.
Gosh we had a written exam in PE today. The strange thing is, we’ve never had one of those. I didn’t really care about it. I’ve watched enough basketball on TV to pass, hopefully?
I heart this site!! http://www.kissables.org
suh-weet.
Good news… my green notebook is found! Well it was never officially lost naman eh. But here is how I found it. (Here is where I lost it)
Our prof (my favorite, the CPA-Lawyer) was taking attendance in Law class (where I lost the notebook) and he called us (as he usually does) by our class number. When he reached my number (53) he kinda paused at hinanap pa ako. Hahaha.
Then after the attendance, he called my name, tapos syempre nagtaas ako ng kamay. He asked me if I lost a notebook and I said yes. Yon. After class I approached him and he said that another prof handed it to him, but he left it in his other car *let me roll my eyes here* so I might get it tomorrow or on Monday. I’m not sure.
Ayon. I’m so happy. But I hope he doesn’t mess around with my notes. Hahaha. As if may oras siya para doon noh?
the blue building
Today I sent a solicitation letter to the Mayor of Mandaluyong by orders of my org. For the first time, I got to visit the blue building where all the city offices are. I’ve been to the area many times before, but never to that building with the blue stained glass.
Gosh it was so pretty. Hehe ganda ng gastos sa pera ng taxpayers huh. Anyway, it looked pretty much like there was a blue aura all over the place. And there were so many people. So many employees.
The mayor’s office was on the fourth floor. Ayon, it was pretty quick, but I had only one copy of the letter so I had to go to the second floor to photocopy it. Hahaha. Akala ko libre. 1.50 pala. Sayang.
That was it. It was just a really pretty building. I even went to the fifth floor. I looked so dumb, but I enjoyed it.
Euuuwwwuuurrrgghhh.
rally
The activist group in our school (the first I ever encountered) is pretty active. They had a rally last month, which I never even found out until I heard they were sent to court or something like that.
Last Tuesday, they had another one while I had PE class. My clanmate texted all of us, “May rally sa main gate!” I was just SO curious that I just had to look. So I walked from the gym to the main gate (see the green line below). And wow, I saw it.
The main gate was closed by the guards and the officers of our school were in the lobby watching them well… do their thing. Ang konte nila. And they kinda looked… funny, screaming like that in the road. But I didn’t see stuff too clearly, I rushed back to class eh.
Just shows how mahina they are. No one heard them from where I was, or even in the dotted overpass. Medyo to scale naman to eh. Pero malabo.
Ayon. Weak lang pala sila eh, as the guys say.
After class, I immediately got out of the school. (Wala na sa drawing.) Then while I was walking, OhMyGod. Nagpaparada na sila sa Shaw Boulevard. I remember thinking, “Sana sagasaan sila ng mga kotse!” They all looked really grubby because of their torn clothes but I’m not sure if they intended it or not. Well medyo madami din sila. But that was because there were some PUP students there. And they still looked…ugh.
That was the end of it. I hope they get kicked out, or expelled (do those two mean the same thing?), or suspended indefinitely. All in all, I hope they GO AWAY.
Why the ill feelings? First of all, they all look stupid. And super negative ang dating nila sa akin. I guess they just enrolled here to complain? I don’t know why they were WHINING about the littlest of things like receipts or whatever. Live and let live! Yun lang talaga. I think they just enrolled to disrupt everything!
Next, I, along with a lot of students, like being here because there are no people like them. Now they’re wrecking the peace in our school. Our school has never been an activist school… until them. No one complained when they weren’t there. Kasi our school treats us pretty well. Really!
Hay naku, kumukulo na talaga ang dugo ko sa kanila. I’d like to rally against them. Hmmmm maybe I’ll get the chance.
rip-off
On that same day, all I heard in the jeeps I rode in were the Tagalog versions of those hit R&B songs like Low, Umbrella, Sorry Blame it on Me, you name it, they got a Tagalog version. Nasa CD na pala yun. Yuck!
I thought it was kinda cheap, why can’t they make their own music? Nakakahiya naman ang Pilipinas oh! And I hope they bought the rights to those songs from the record companies, because isn’t making another version of an original song illegal? Copyright infringement ba yun?
Most of them were just translated versions of the original songs. When I heard the Tagalog speech before the start of Sorry Blame It on Me, it was so disgusting that I wanted to laugh out loud.
The only one I kinda liked was the Tagalog Low (Lawlaw is the title). It’s pretty funny eh.
PS. Kaya pala nasa CD, album na pala yun!!
DeathMatch is the bomb.
Just discovered how fun different modes in DOTA can be. It all started last Friday, when I saw my BF and our friend (Marvin) going against 3 of his friends. 3on2. Then Marvin had to pick up his GF so I played in his place. And I owned THEM.
Today, did it again. 1on1 with my BF. 2 matches. Tied 1-1.
